NQ REGIONAL 4: Inaugural Townsville Judo Competition Recap

Wow, what an awesome day Saturday 30 August was. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our inaugural Townsville Judo Competition - we are so proud of how the day turned out!
A special thank you to Mount Isa Judo Academy for travelling the furthest to be with us and to CORAL COAST JUDO (Mossman), Northern Beaches Judo Club Cairns, Cairns Judo Club, Innisfail Judo Club Inc., Mackay Kodokan Judo Club and Mackay MMA for also travelling and bringing some great competition.
For eight of our junior competitors and two of our senior competitors, it was their very first judo competition and we couldn't be prouder of their efforts.
Thank you again to Townsville City Council for supporting our event through a Community Grant, and to NQ Productions for helping us out with two TV screens.
Finally, an enormous thank you to all of our volunteers – from the canteen crew to those setting up and packing down mats and equipment, refereeing, scoring and keeping things flowing all day. This event wouldn’t have been possible without you!
