Townsville Judo Club Inc – Trial Class Waiver & Media Consent

Applicable to all participants in the Trial Class on Wednesday 9 July 2025

Please read carefully before submitting your registration

Participation in judo involves physical activity, close contact with others, and carries an inherent risk of injury — including, but not limited to, bruises, sprains, joint injuries, or other accidental harm.

By registering for the Townsville Judo Club Inc trial class, you acknowledge and accept the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

You understand that while all reasonable care will be taken, judo is a contact sport and carries some risk. You agree that your child participates voluntarily and at their own risk.

2. Fitness to Participate

You confirm that the participant is in good health and physically able to take part in a beginner-level martial arts class. Any relevant medical or behavioural concerns should be disclosed to the club prior to the session.

3. Release of Liability

You agree to release and indemnify Townsville Judo Club Inc, its committee members, instructors, coaches, volunteers, and agents from any liability, claim, or expense arising from any injury, loss or damage sustained by the participant during the trial class, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

4. Emergency Care

In the event of illness or injury, you authorise club representatives to provide first aid or seek medical treatment on your behalf. Any associated costs are your responsibility.

5. Media Consent

Photos and/or videos may be taken during the trial for promotional or internal use by Townsville Judo Club Inc (e.g., social media, website, flyers).
If you do not consent to your child being photographed or filmed, please notify the club in writing via email before the session.
