John Robinson began his judo journey in Redcliffe in 1998. As a junior player, he achieved multiple State and National championship titles, with his highest placing being 3rd at the Oceania Championships in Tahiti in 2005. That same year, he was awarded his 1st Dan black belt. In 2006, John proudly represented Australia at the Junior World Championships in the Dominican Republic and competed at the US Open. While he has taken some breaks from training over the years, he is now back on the mat continuing his lifelong connection to the sport.
