Originally from Brisbane, Boyd has been involved with several judo clubs across Australia during various postings throughout his former RAAF career.

He previously served as the NT State Coach for both junior and senior players, and was also the inaugural judo coach for the NT Institute of Sport.

Boyd was awarded his 3rd Dan in 2002 before taking an extended break from judo coaching. Now retired, he is focused on helping our junior members polish their judo skills.
